Report & Accounts Printer of the Year: St Ives Westerham Press
Report & Accounts Printer of the Year – Winner: St Ives Westerham Press
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
It was a close run thing, but St Ives Westerham ran out winners drawing some high praise from the judges.
“Outstanding” said one, while another commented on the meticulous finishing that complemented the “beautiful printing”. After missing out on top spot last year, St Ives Westerham won the award thanks to its reports for Qinetiq, Group 4 Securicor, BBA and Meggitt. The brief from Group 4’s designers, Magee, was to print a high-impact report, making use of bold colours. The client specifically requested offline matt and gloss varnishes to enhance the visual result. For Qinetiq, St Ives Westerham were up against a very tight deadline, but turned it around producing 4,750 copies incorporating spot gloss and matt varnishes to emphasise the colour images and text.
