Student of the Year: Richard Gosling
Student of the Year - Winner: Richard Gosling, Plymouth College of Art & Design
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
Described by his tutor as highly intelligent and motivated, Richard is a proud addition to the Plymouth College of Art & Design, which has been responsible for three of the past four winners in this category.
Having been home-schooled since the age of 11 and with no academic qualifications, Richard was by no means certain how he would fare in further education. However, his drive and determination shone through, leading him to collect 15 out of a possible 18 distinctions for his project work. Richard has now chosen to pursue his future through a degree programme, adding moving image, animation and website design skills to his already “formidable” knowledge of printing processes.
