New Sharp printing kit targets mono market

Sharp has said it is aiming to "further establish itself in the mono production market" at this year's Total Print! Expo, where it has given UK debuts to its MX-M1100 and 950 machines.

Mike Gabriel, head of marketing communications at Sharp Electronics, said the company wants to "raise its brand profile" by showcasing at the event.

Gabriel said: "Visitors to our stand will see us running the 950 alongside a Plockmatic bookletmaker as well as our 1100 production machine. It's still early days, but with these UK debuts, we're establishing ourselves."

The MX-M1100 is one of a range of three models including the MX-M850 (85ppm) and the MX-M950 (95ppm). Standard finishing options include punching, slitting, bookletmaking and stapling, and the range includes multi-paper input trays.

Sharp is exhibiting on stand 110.
