GBC hoping on-demand increase will boost TPE sales

Laminating equipment manufacturer GBC Commercial Laminating Solutions Group has announced its line-up for this year's Total Print! Expo (TPE).

The company, which specialises in on-demand equipment, will be combining kit alongside new laminates, and believes an increasing demand for short-run work will help boost sales.

Taking centre stage at GBC's stand will be the 620os single-sided system, which runs at speeds of 15m/min with a maximum sheet size of 53x76cm.

The machine can auto-process 200 sheets at a time, and for booklets and brochures this is necessary to reach the speed and quality needed for short run on-demand jobs, GBC said.

Marketing and sales director Giel Klinkers said: "The demand for shorter print runs continues to increase, so has the need for printers and finishing houses to consider the effectiveness of in-house quality lamination solutions that allow for cost savings, efficiency and fast turnaround times."

Also on show will be the GBC Titan 110, the GBC Catena series and a selection of films, including scuff-free gloss/matt, silk, linen, metallized matte and gloss.

Total Print! Expo is being held at Earls Court 2, London, from 14-16 October. To find out more, and to register for the free advice seminars being held during the show, visit the TPE forum on printweek.com.
