Muller Martini praises new signature device for Primera saddlestitchers

Finishing equipment manufacturer Muller Martini has claimed new saddlestitchers in the Primera family are now easier to operate thanks to a device that has been added to the machines.

Primera 130 and 140 models are now being fitted with an automatic signature-measuring device, which according to the company, ensures fast set-up and short makeready times.

It also claimed that recording the job size data is much simpler and accomplished more efficiently.

The operator places the signature against the stop and moves the measuring head so that the measuring device, which is designed according to ergonomic principles, can read the spine length, signature width and thickness of the product to be stitched.

After every measuring operation the values are automatically shown in millimetres on the display. These can then be acknowledged or altered and saved.
