Howitt aims to cut turnaround times with Delano buy

Howitt has invested in Agfa's Delano WebApproval project management system in a bid to cut the turnaround times of its proofing work.

The software allows Howitt's customers to access page proofs processed through the company's pre-press department.

Customers can upload and submit pages, which helps avoid the need for hard copies and the sometimes lengthy process of sending and receiving the documents.

Delano software also ensures jobs need to be fully signed-off from the customer before going to press.

Gurdev Singh, managing director at Howitt, said: This new software allows us to speed up what is traditionally the most intensive stage of the print management process, without losing any accuracy or risking the quality of the end product."

He added: "We're cutting down on hard copy proofs, which makes the process far cleaner and quicker in doing so."
