B&K reveals EHG half-sheet press

Finishing manufacturer Brandtjen and Kluge (B&K) has unveiled its latest machinery series aimed at companies with special issues.

The EHG half-sheet, which handles sheet sizes of 55cmx75cm, has been manufactured following several years of customers calling for a half-sheet size machine.

It has a press area of 4sqm and a work area of 12.5sqm.

B&K’s machine is available for platen-foil stamping, embossing and die-cutting presses. It can also be purchased simply as a diecutter. The machine can run at speeds of up to 1700iph.

The machine also features EZ load magazine and a toggle-base hoist system.

A spokesman for the company said: "One of the biggest obstacles facing growing trade finishers and print shops today is space. The cost of real estate is on the rise and many businesses are forced to hold off on capital equipment updates because of the lack of room to house new equipment.

"The Kluge EHG Series Press has an incredibly small footprint while maintaining the quality, accuracy and fast make-readies that Kluge owners are accustomed to."
