Vinfoil adapts Infigo SF105 for existing presses

Finishing consumables manufacturer Vinfoil has said it can now adapt its Infigo SF105 cold foil product for existing presses.

The Infigo SF105 has previously been a product only available for the new press market.

But existing presses with at least two printing units and one varnishing unit can be equipped with the Infigo SF105 to apply cold foil applications.

According to Vinfoil, the Infigo application has several advantages over existing foiling units – the machine does not need to have its foil changed every 30 to 60 minutes ¬– instead, the operator can control both press and foil from one position.

Infigo SF105 uses a zero speed butt-splicing unit to change over from one roll of foil to the next without stopping the press and production.

Other advantages include the immediate waste disposal of the cold foil and the "pull-in" system which brings the foil from the splicer right up to the offset foil transfer unit (OFT) in a "hands-off" mode.
