Edwards goes top in Power 100
A printer has returned to the top of PrintWeek's annual list of the industry's power brokers after St Ives' Brian Edwards deposed Tim Griffiths of Williams Lea from the top spot.
Ironically, Edwards’ position as the most influential man in UK print comes at the end of a year in which St Ives has established itself as a force in print management with major new print management contracts for Royal Mail and Sainsbury’s.
Edwards’ elevation is at the expense of Griffiths, who has had a momentous year himself with the company’s signing of a global direct mail contract for the Reader’s Digest Association which could be worth $1bn over seven years.
Meanwhile, Andrew Pindar, chairman of the Pindar Group, proved his popularity in the industry by winning the public vote run on printweek.com.

It may be a short reign after the little problem with ILVA.

St Ives are a print manufacturer not a `true` print management company! There is a `big` difference in the `true` understanding of a Print Mnagement Programme!
The Print Industry need to offer solutions to the end user and then there net profit would increase!
Wake up and understand what your customers need!

It will be interesting how St Ives handle the Sainsburys and Royal Mail accounts this year!
