Integrated Graphics Ltd has become the first European customer for Ricoh's new production colour machine, the Pro C900.
The company, based in the Vale of Glamorgan, signed for the kit at Drupa and is eyeing an increase in its digital print capacity with the new press.
Adrian Hickey, joint director at Integrated Graphics Ltd, said the machine will offer "a big difference in output. It will run alongside our existing machines to help us boost both the production and capacity of our digitally printed work".
The printer, established in 1991, will use the machine to produces material including brochures, leaflets, business cards and training manuals.
Wynford Phillips, joint director at Integrated Graphics Ltd, said "We are impressed with the image quality, media handling of different paper types, registration accuracy and - of course - the constant 90ppm print speed."
The nine-staff company first invested in digital 14 years ago and now runs a setup that includes a raft of Xerox, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Roland kit.
The new Ricoh Pro C900 supports formats up to SRA3 size and heavy stock up to weights of 300gsm.
Chas Moloney, director of marketing at Ricoh UK, said the machine incorporates "all the production features that a commercial printer expects at a very competitive total cost of ownership."
