Star Product: HexiStretch UV-curable ink

The HexiStretch family of UV-curable inkjet inks will be unveiled by Hexion Speciality Chemicals at this year’s Drupa.

The firm claims the inks provide highly opaque, durable images with exceptional adhesion when used with most flexible PVC, polystyrene and nylon surfaces. After printing, flexible surfaces can be rolled for storage without cracking or flaking problems, according to Hexion. “Having a single ink set that provides exemplary adhesion and performance on a wide variety of substrates will allow our customers extra versatility,” said Willis Reese, director of Hexion’s Global UV-curable business.
At the show, the firm’s complete line of UV-curable inkjet inks will be demonstrated, including its  industrial-strength ink HexiLok, and FlashCure, which cures rapidly. All inks are available in CMYKLcLm as well as white and clear.
