Pureprint reveals new site plans

Pureprint Group has opened its new B1 perfecting plant as the second phase of its investment programme gets underway.

The new factory, a dedicated perfecting site, is on the company’s Bellbrook Park site in East Sussex. It will provide the company with an additional 1,800m2 of production space.

A new 14-station PUR perfect binder and a 10-colour B1 Heidelberg Speedmaster will feature at the site, alongside the company’s existing finishing kit.

A further B1 Heidelberg Speedmaster with perfecting capability will be transferred from its current factory. There is also a warehouse built on the site for storage and distribution.

Vegetable inks and an automated ink-pumping system will be used at the plant, which is powered by 100% renewable energy.

Mark Handford, chief executive of Pureprint Group, said: “This new and different concept has generated a great deal of interest. It’s an extension of our sustainable printing programme and will provide a comprehensive offering for environmentally sensitive commercial print.”
