DPLenticular targets Drupa with 3D software

DPLenticular will present a range of 3D print products, including large format, at this year's Drupa.

The Irish 3D software specialist, formerly known as LPC Europe, will showcase its Lenstar products for offset and digital printing, including the 40LPI product range, which offers volume productions of posters in larger sizes with a 3D or flip effect.

DPLenticular is the sole European distributor of Lenstar products, which comprises seven lens designs: 40 LPI, 3D-100, 140 LPI, 60 LPI, 100 LPI, 62 LPI and 75 LPI.

Lenstar sheets are made to preset tolerances on a consistent basis, and enable printers to interlace an image and then print directly on the gloss surface of the lenticular sheets.

However, the company is not just targeting larger formats – there is a possibility of using lenticular products for point-of-purchase design, packaging, in direct mail and on promotional and card formats, it said.

Daniel Pierret, founder and managing director of DPLenticular, said: "We are very excited at the prospect of Drupa 2008.

"With more than 10 years' experience in Europe, DPLenticular is well positioned to gain new market share in the promotional and advertising sector as the need for brand owners to promote their products with innovative solutions, such as 3D and animation pictures, continues to grow."
