Just Digital has streamlined its bookletmaking operation and improved the productivity of its business card work after investing in a Morgana DocuMaster and CardXtra cutter.

The £1.6m turnover firm produces a range of digital print, from exhibition graphics to brochures, and has significantly cut the time it takes to finish its business cards by investing in the CardXtra.

Just Digital managing director Adam Hill told printweek.com the kit has reduced the finishing time of its web-to-print business cards from one hour "to just 10 minutes".

"Previously we'd have an operator on the guillotine waiting to cut the cards, but now the CardXtra takes care of it," he said.

The 20-staff firm has also invested in a DocuMaster bookletmaker, which the printer has already reached capacity on, and plans to take delivery of a second unit next month.

Hill said the machine "is a great piece of kit, you start it up and let it go."

The DocuMaster can handle stock up to 630x330mm and can produce up to 1,440 booklets per hour.

Just Digital also operates finishing kit including a Morgana DigiFold combined creaser/folder, a DigiCreaser and a Rhin-o-Tuff punching and binding system.
