Sprinters switches to Fuji Pro-T plates in environmental push
Sprinters London has overhauled its platesetter operation by switching to Fujifilm Brillia HD Pro-T plates in a bid to eliminate chemistry from its platemaking.
The Brentford-based printer handles work for companies including Kew Gardens and Innocent Drinks and produces a range of material including folders, brochures and postcards.
Sprinters director Vince Brackley said the shift to Pro-T was driven by the environmental benefits processless plates offered.
He said getting rid of chemistry and chemical processes entirely "is good for the environment and for us. Installing Pro-T has added another string to our environmental bow."
The ISO 14001 accredited firm prints on a variety of eco-friendly stock including Revive recycled and Greencoat using its litho and digital presses.
Brackley added the company's customers "were asking more and more to see our environmental credentials".
The 15-staff firm, established in 1982, outputs plates on its Screen PT R4100 platesetter, which was installed in 2003.
Sprinters director Vince Brackley said chemistry free is good for business and the environment
