SMP lands high-profile 3D campaign for Tutankhamun

SMP Group has completed a lenticular poster display to promote the Tutankhamun exhibition at London's O2 Arena, previously the Millennium Dome.

The Woolwich-based firm produced the work for event marketing company SML using its wide-format Agfa-M press.

The 1,763x1,170mm poster was created using Solidvision 3D technology. The effect is achieved with the vertical lines within the Perspex acrylic sheet acting as the lenticular lens.

The Tutankhamun poster exhibition, which has featured in Planet Hollywood and toy shop Hamleys, was produced over four weeks and consists of six digitally printed sheets on a light box display.

SML Events' Jordan Wilson said: "We are extremely impressed with the depth; the 3D poster makes the image really stand out to passers by".
