Océ picks ex-deputy Curley to head up UK business
Océ's Bron Curley is to step into the role of UK managing director from December.
Curley, previously UK deputy managing director, will take over from Nico Kooy, who will retire from the company.
Curley said that under his leadership, the operation would be "business as usual".
The Canadian described the succession as having been planned "well in advance".
"In the UK, the company is firing on all cylinders, and currently experiencing 8% autonomous equipment growth in turnover," he said.
Curley's background has included stints in senior UK and EMEA roles for Xerox before joining Océ five years ago, directing its Digital Document Systems division.
Kooy has enjoyed a 21-year tenure with Océ, including 17 years in the UK and more recently as head of the company's China and Hong Kong operations.
He will maintain an interest in business as director for the East of England Trade & Investment Agency.
"I have been extremely proud to lead Océ's UK business, which that has shown accelerated continuous autonomous equipment growth – in difficult market conditions – for the last four years. Océ has really stolen a march on its rivals through some impressive new technology and product ranges," he said.
