Jarvis: Starfold to replace existing kit
Offset Productions finishes Bobst hat-trick with Starfold gluer
By Jane Ellis Wednesday, 26 September 2007
Offset Productions, the Aylesford-based packaging specialist, has ordered its third piece of kit from Bobst in as many months.
A Bobst Starfold gluer will join an Asitrade Foliostar laminator and a Bobst SPeria die-cutter ordered during the summer.
The trio of Bobst machines will be the key finishing components in the firm's new carton business, Offset Packaging. They are part of a £3m investment programme, which also included a six-colour KBA press.
Offset Productions managing director Hugh Jarvis said the "highly versatile gluer" would allow the firm to grow the business further.
"As well as giving us the larger formats we need, the Starfold can handle all the profiles we require and will give us the opportunity to make some of our existing equipment redundant," he said.
Offset Productions, which was set up more than 30 years ago, offers a range of products from simple packs to intricate designs and high-speed machine packs on conventional materials, plastics, G-flute, canvas or litho-laminates.
