US print promotion site launched
A website promoting print effectiveness has been laun-ched in the US by print advocacy group The Print Council and leading print college Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
The partners have described Print in the Mix as “a clearing house of research on print media effectiveness”.
The website, hosted by the RIT’s School of Print Media and funded by The Print Council, is a collection and summary of academic and commercial research into print and other media’s effectiveness. It is designed to help the whole supply chain easily find examples of how effective print and other media have been to help printers promote their products. Also, it will show marketers when and how print is an appropriate part of their budget.
RIT School of print media administrative chair Pat Sorce said: “We need to get across the important facts about print effectiveness.”
For more on print effectiveness programmes, see September’s Printing World, which is published this week.
