Jeti range bolstered with roll-to-roll and flatbed kit
Gandinnovations has launched a range of new flatbed and roll-to-roll presses featuring 48 Spectra printheads for high-speed, high-resolution printing.
The Jeti 2030 UV Continental, 3148 X-2 UV and 1224 UV boast 1,200dpi output at 120, 80, and 40sqm per hour, respectively.
The six-colour presses all have large print areas with easy access, so that material can be handled by one person.
A vacuum table holds substrates rigid and the presses can take materials up to 5cm thick.
Its six-colour roll-to-roll family, comprising the 3.3m grand-format Jeti 3324 Aquajet and 3348UV, reach speeds of 100 and 80sqm per hour, respectively.
The 600dpi Aquajet uses water-based dye sublimation inks to print onto polyester substrates, which are fixed with infra-red heaters. It includes three slitting units as well as ventilation and air cleaning systems.
The Jeti 3348 uses environmentally friendly UV curable inks to produce 1,200dpi prints on a range of flexible substrates.
Improved software enables individual nozzles to be monitored in real time in case of misfiring and can compensate automatically for saturation.
UK distributor Océ said it had not decided which, if any, of the presses it would sell in the UK.
