TPF sets sights on US growth with new director
TPF Group has hired a managing director to spearhead its expansion into the US.
Doug Haggist, formerly a director from Ikon Office Solutions, has joined as managing director of TPF Inc, the newly launched US print and document management business.
Haggist is responsible for all aspects of the US operation, with his first task being to recruit a team to manage the key business disciplines of sales, operations, marketing, finance and IT.
Haggist founded and spent four years running the BPO Services division at Ikon.
TPF chief executive Steve Brundle said the company had been planning to launch in the US for some time.
"We were not prepared to make a serious assault on such a tough market until we were sure we had the right person to head it up. In Doug Haggist, we've now got the man for the job," Brundle said.
Haggist said he was attracted by the fact that TPF was "in serious investment mode" with a focus on the areas he is most interested in.
"With their sights on the US market, which has unbelievable potential, TPF stands to double in size within three years," he said.
"I can't wait to get involved and help drive this explosive growth."
TPF, which was founded in 1991, has a turnover of almost £100m a year and a client list that includes Sky, Virgin Group, P&O and the Conservative Party.

I wish them well & I'm sure they can succeed where M & S, Daimler-Benz, Vodaphone, BT, etc etc have failed... The "common language" has caused many a quality management team into misguided stateside forays. Hope this isn't another for heir sake.
