Xerox bolsters DocuColor range with 8000AP model

Xerox has bolstered its DocuColor 8000 range with the new 8000AP model, which has a set speed of 80ppm across any stock weight up to 300gsm.

As well as the ‘All Weights’ mode, the press can be set to deal with specific weights of paper, with duplex printing at the same speed.

It can handle a range of media, from coated and uncoated paper to polyester and transparencies, and is aimed at high-volume commercial printers and in-plant set-ups.

The press features a 2,400x2,400dpi resolution and front-to-back registration of +/- 0.5mm, which Xerox has claimed complements standard litho output.

Its two-tray feeder has a 4,000-sheet capacity, which can be doubled with a secondary module, whose two drawers each hold up to 2,000 sheets.

Available finishing devices include a standard offset catch tray that can hold up to 500 sheets in offset stacks. Other options include a high-capacity stacker, stacker/stapler, bookletmaker, document binder and fusion punch for coil-bound documents.

Xerox is offering more than 14 end-to-end digital printing applications that can be customised to suit the user’s specific needs.

These include applications for producing marketing output, targeted direct mail, promotional/transactional material and books and manuals.

The 8000AP with a Xerox FreeFlow Printer Server 6.0, CXP8000AP or EX8000AP colour server will be available in the UK in the third quarter of 2007. US list pricing is $300,000 (£152,000), although UK pricing has not yet been disclosed.

This has really nothing to do with DC8000 but to do with Xerox supplies.

I'm sorry to say but Xerox have no supplies of fusers or imaging drums for our machines. Do other print providers have this problem with Xerox?? My business is now at risk, I've only worked for 2 days out of the last 27.

Can someone help me!!!

I Hope someone will get in contact, preferably Xerox my telephone number is 0191 4274665 the company name is deafbooks

Any help to save my business would be greatfully received, I only need a few fusers, my email address is julieacook@fsmail.net the machines in question are the 7760's and 240's

If Xerox wish to support print firms please support mine, I maybe small but I pay my bills and don't deserve to wait weeks for supplies.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I'M NOW BEGGING!!
