Greenhouse Graphics ups eco aims with Horizon collator
Short-run magazine specialist Greenhouse Graphics has bought a new collator to enhance its green credentials.
The Basingstoke-based firm installed a Horizon VAC-Turbo PowerCollator, supplied by UK agent Graphic Arts Equipment (GAE), because the new machine fits with its environmental goals, it said.
The investment supports the firm’s EcoPrint-System4, an in-house initiative focussed on green issues such as reducing VOC emissions, energy and chemical usage, waste management as well as increasing recycling.
Managing director Ian Crossley said: “A lot of the magazines we print do like the eco-friendly aspect of our business.
“When we look for equipment, we assess its impact and how it will help us conform to our internal standards. We compared eco-friendliness, speed of jobs, set-up and wastage. We also took energy usage into account and GAE’s equipment was the best choice.”
