APP faces protestors at Paperworld

Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) has been the subject of a protest at Paperworld in Frankfurt.

Activists from German environmental organisation, Robin Wood unfurled a banner in front of the doors of the Paperworld exhibition, proclaiming, "Paper companies are clear cutting Sumatra."

Robin Wood rainforest expert Jens Wieting said the organisation has been targeting APP about its forestry methods for the last two years. APP declined to comment.

The Indonesian pulp and paper giant came under fire last year, when its booth was seized by two creditors at a trade show in Florida.
