Digital 360 is targeting the security card sector after investing in its first MGi Meteor DP60 Pro colour digital printer. The Mumbai-based printer opted for the Drupa-launched machine to fulfill the versatile printing demand.
Vikas Choudhary, founder and chief executive officer at Digital 360, said: "We invested in the Meteor DP60 Pro, after being impressed by its ink fusion technology and substrate flexibility. It can handle paper sizes of up to 13x40in, which is the unique feature."
Commenting on the availability of digital jobs, Choudhary said: "I think there's a fantastic opportunity. We aim to offer genuine runs-of-one with no wastage and that is what the DP60 does."
Aura Papers, the distributor of MGI printing equipment in India said that Digital 360 invested in the DP60 Pro after being impressed by its ink fusion technology and substrate flexibility.
The Meteor DP60 Pro can handle up to 3,900 pages per hour with papers ranging from 70-350gsm and plastic ranging from 100 to 400 microns. The DP60 machine can also output on PVC, polycarbonate, polyester, teslin, vinyl and PET.
Digital 360 has the backup of the two companies. Kamal Offset which is engaged in the traditional commercial offset printing and Printel Cardz which is engaged in catering to the production of telecommunications, retail, banks, associations, clubs, hospitality, healthcare and petro cards.
The company also opted for the entire offline finishing system from Meteor, which offers a reduction in waste.
