New Xerox president visits north London printer

Xerox's president and incoming chief executive Ursula Burns has paid a visit to MBA Group's north London site, in order to witness the print quality it was achieving on its latest investment - a pair of Xerox 980s.

The company recently invested more than £5m in digital equipment, a spend that included the UK's first two 900ppm twin-engine Xerox 980s.

Burns visited the company to see the print output being produced on MBA's new machines after hearing about the level of colour reproduction being achieved on the presses.

MBA chairman Bachar Aintaoui said the installation of the Xerox equipment was completed so efficiently "due to the efforts of MBA staff and the Xerox engineers".

He added: "It’s great that our skill in colour reproduction is also being acknowledged and we were honoured to meet the president of Xerox."

Burns takes over as Xerox chief executive when Anne Mulcahy steps down from the role, after 33 years with the company in July.

That's great guys, I'm glad you can get good work from your Xerox machines, but if I had spent that much I would have expected to as well.

Ursula would be welcome to my place and no doubt a lot of other printers premises, to see the opposite end of the scale; with my 3535 which we have parked up out of use, as we could not get consistent work from it.

hehehehe, Colour reproduction and Xerox, that doesn't make sense unless you want bright in your face punchy colours that have no resemblance to the required job.

OK, as office copiers they are great, anything else is Bovine scatology.

Xerox, still batting on sticky wickets and letting their customers pay dearly for a bag of nails.
