Inca Digital has today announced the launch of its Spyder V large-format flatbed printer having trialled the machine at beta site Valley.

James Haggas, joint managing director of West-Yorkshire-based Valley, praised Inca Digital's Spyder V after the new flatbed machine "doubled" the company's print speeds.

Valley, situated in Bingley, installed the machine two months ago, becoming the first company worldwide to opt for the new V model.

The machine, which is available in four- and six-colour versions, is designed for the production of display graphics, posters and point-of-sale materials.

The V model offers print speeds of up to 93sqm an hour in production mode, ranging up to a maximum speed of 130sqm.

It joins a fleet of Inca machines at "retail-focused" Valley, which produces a variety of point-of-sale and display materials.

Haggas said: "We can now put far more through the Spyder than we could ever do before, it has doubled our production speed."

The Spyder V slots in between the production spectrum of the Spyder 320, that offers top speeds of 50sqm an hour, and the Turbo Plus, which provides print at rates up to 160sqm an hour.

It can output on a print area of 3.2x1.6m on substrates up to 30mm thick.
