Cambrian Printers and C&R Printing Services have flown the flag for the UK in HP's first international HP Indigo Progressive Printing Competition.

Welsh sheetfed magazine specialist Cambrian won the Publications category in the event, beating German and Chilean companies to the honours.

Leicestershire-based C&R Printing Services narrowly missed out on first place in the marketing collateral category, after being pipped to the top by a Russian firm.

Experts from Pantone, the Rochester Institute of Technology, and the China Academy of Printing Technology, were among those judging the entrants.
