Robinson: I quit UK print
The former print director currently embroiled in a dispute with an administrator over the directorship of ABR Litho has said he intends to leave the UK print industry for good.
David Robinson, a former director at Ingersoll Printers told PrintWeek that he has no interest in going back into print in the UK and will be following up ventures abroad.
He said: "I am not very welcome in print."
Robinson added that he felt there were a number of reasons why his time in the industry had not been a success.
"At times I had the wrong people beside me," he said.
"I am only a young man, maybe I was a little naïve, maybe I got involved with the wrong people. I tried to grow too quickly. All I know is that I have to earn a living, but I will never go back into UK printing."
Robinson is a former director of a number of companies including Ingersoll Printers, Charta Holdings, Abbey Green Printers and Capital Finishing.
He has also been linked with a number of other companies in an unofficial manner and is at present involved in a dispute with an administrator over the directorship of ABR Litho.
Robinson is currently an undisclosed bankrupt, owing to his time at Ingersoll.
According to the Insolvency Service, his bankruptcy is due to end on 5 June 2016.
