Equipment sales firm King Sturge has declared that there is "something for everybody" as it bids to sell off the remnants of failed mailing houses Colin Clapp and LDH Mailing.

The sister companies went into administration on 12 August this year citing a downturn in sales, and around 200 staff lost their jobs when insolvency practitioner KPMG could not find a buyer.

Spencer Chapman, King Sturge partner, said: "Colin Clapp was a well-established company which produced a multitude of products for its diverse client base.

"Quite literally, there is something for everyone at this sale; from envelope overprinting to calendar binding and all points in between."

An internet auction on King Sturge's website will begin on Tuesday 30 September and run until Thursday 2 October, with viewings available at the companies' premises on the Tuesday and Wednesday that week.

Lots to be auctioned include a Heidelberg SM74-10P 10-colour press, a Heidelberg GTOV-52 four-colour press, a CMC Pratica inserting and wrapping line, a Polar 115 guillotine flowline, a Stahl Mailmaster mailing system and a Muller Martini Minuteman stitching line.
