GAE reveals DPW offerings
Graphic Arts Equipment (GAE) is to exhibit a range of JDF-ready finishing kit at this year's Digital Print World.
The devices will be configured in an automated 'on-demand' CIP4 bindery line in a live Horizon i2i Net>Work>Flow digital workflow environment.
It will include the first showing of the Horizon unique StitchLiner – automated integrated saddlestitching line – working with the HOF-20 delivery platform.
Also on show will be the Horizon APC-61IIjdf guillotine, AFC-566Fjdf B2-plus Combination Folding System and BQ-270jdf Automated single clamp perfect binder.
Alongside these will be the BQ-470jdf four-clamp perfect binder with PUR option, HT-30jdf Robotic three-side trimmer and SPF/FC-200Ajdf book production line with a VAC PowerCollator platform.
A further addition to the line-up has also just been announced. Horizon’s Hard Case binding system, aimed at bespoke photographic presentations, commemorative publications and short run hard back editions will also be on show.
Bryan Godwyn joint managing director said: "When competition is fierce and prices are driven down, margin has to be created through efficiency gains in the production process and recent advances in finishing equipment design have placed the bindery in the front line.”
“By taking control of finishing in-house the printer has already eliminated a time delay and clawed back lost revenue, but the latest automated systems bring further benefits through short-run capability, reductions in waste, operator flexibility, product versatility and quality assurance.”
Digital Print World runs from 16 to 18 October at Earl's Court 2, London.
