Muller unveils binder targeted at photobooks market

Muller Martini has launched the Diamant MC digital book-binding line, which is designed to finish digitally-printed photobooks.

According to the manufacturer, the new machine will "guarantee efficient binding" of books in volumes as low as a single copy.

Muller Martini says that where there are small changes in book thickness, the machine adjusts itself automatically on the fly without any change in performance.

The binder operates at up to 2,100 cycles per hour, a speed that Muller Martini claims is ideal for keeping pace with the growing demand for photobooks.

The Diamant MC digital, which is available in the UK now, comprises three sections: the infeed area, lining area and casing-in area.
