Kludge describes its ComFold as a “fully featured, straight-line folder-gluer” that can be configured in a variety of production formats, including scoring and inline inserting options.

It handles a maximum sheet size of 740x820mm and a minimum of 140x140mm, and works at speeds of 450 folds per minute on coated and uncoated stock of 200-500gsm.

Each machine is custom built to clients’ specific needs. Options include left and right registration to expand converting capabilities, hot and cold and fugitive glue systems and a sheet-width extension kit.

The machine has two feeder types, vacuum and friction, electronic controls, scoring kit and a high-end four- or eight-channel controller to operate devices such as hot or cold glue and taping heads.
