Book sales rise in 2007
UK book sales were up in 2007, according to the Publishers Association.
Sales jumped 7.7% year-on-year for the January to September period in terms of volume and 6.3% in terms of value, for the companies participating in the PA Sales Monitor.
The biggest increase was in the export market where the year-on-year rise was 12.4% in volume and 11.1% by value.
Meanwhile, UK sales grew by 4.5% by volume and by 3.4% in value.
