Promens is targeting the dermo-cosmetics sector
Promens targets cosmetics with sterile closure
By Jill Park Wednesday, 23 September 2009
Promens has launched a closure system that makes it possible to preserve a sterile formula without preservatives.
Promens has worked with French skincare brand Avène Dermatological Laboratories for eight years to develop the sterile closure.
The D.E.F.I. (exclusive intact formula device) distribution system guarantees the product remains sterile throughout its life even after opening.
The four-piece cap includes a membrane that rises when the tube is squeezed and resumes its normal position when pressure is released from the tube.
Promens has manufactured the lid so that it perfectly fits the closure and added a tamper-proof clip that is removed when the product is first opened.
The product is being targeted at the dermo-cosmetics market.
Promens is a plastics packaging manufacturer with over 60 manufacturing sites in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.
