Contract update - DSR Group, Hertsmere Council, Translink, Herts Council

DSR Group, the Northampton-based print management company, has secured a three-year contract with Overland Shoes to supply all the company's print requirements. The agreement will cover marketing, packaging, promotional and public relations material. DSR declined to comment on the value of the contract. Ken Moores, DSR's business development director, said: "We are delighted to announce this new deal with such a significant player in the fashion footwear sector. "The fashion arena is a very important section of the market, where attractive presentation and the ability to respond quickly to changing trends is essential."

Hertsmere Borough Council has brought in three suppliers to handle of all its printing requirements.
Watford-based Hill and Garwood Printing will partner Redlin Print and Corporate Document Services (CDS),
both of which are based in Chelmsford.

The council produces information such as leaflets, magazines and corporate plans. A 16pp resident’s magazine entitled Hertsmere News will also be produced under the deal.

Mark Roberts, senior customer relations officer, said: We saw seven companies offering a range of services and saw some very high-spec equipment. We were pleased with the overall response to the tender process.

Translink
, the Belfast-based railway service company, has appointed five suppliers to its print framework.
The work will predominantly be composed of one- and two-colour, short-run printing of marketing documents with an emphasis on colour reproduction.

Lisburn-based Bluestone Press, NI and Impression Print and Design were chosen alongside Belfast-based Minprint and DG And RE Beattie. Murphy Printing Services, a Ballyclare-based company was also picked.

Marcia Clarke, procurement project advisor, said: Translink has successfully awarded its one- and two-colour print services contract for the production of general marketing materials.

Hertfordshire County Council has enlisted four printers to produce its passenger transport publications.

The four-year contract covers all aspects of the design and production process within the Intalink Partnership.

Pindar Graphics and One Time Design, which is based in Croydon, were the chosen printers.
