Pindar gets Express contract

Pindar Graphics has brought in an extra £850,000 worth of business after signing a one-year contract with existing client Express Gifts - a catalogue retailer.

The Scarborough-based company will produce 50 different catalogues for the company, which it has worked with for more than seven years.

Printing of the catalogues will take place at its Tewkesbury site. It will also provide additional catalogue publishing from its Scarborough and Preston locations.

The company's business with Express Gifts has nearly doubled to £1.9m under the new agreement. Pindar wins work from the firm on a project-by-project basis. It confirmed that it will tender again when the contract comes up for renewal.

Andrew Dalton, Pindar Group chief executive, said: "Express Gifts operates in an industry where catalogues are crucial to driving their online ordering business, meaning flexibility in the production environment is imperative."
