Printondemand-worldwide scores environmental hat-trick

Printondemand-worldwide has reaffirmed its commitment to the environment having gained the ISO14001 environmental standard on top of FSC and PEFC accreditations.

Peterborough-based Printondemand-worldwide was awarded the hat-trick of accolades last month and plans to use them to promote the business as "a truly environmental company".

The self-publisher and on-demand book printer has also recently moved into a new 930sqm site, which has been BREEAM-certified (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment method).

Dale Burgess, director of Printondemand-worldwide, said: "We've spent so much time on getting our accreditations right, the next step is to promote them to our client base."

The all-Xerox house, which installed a Nuvera 288 black-and-white machine last month, hopes to grow its £2.5m turnover, following the recent green accreditations.

Burgess said: "You have to do your bit and take responsibility. We want to carry out work in a quality fashion that, at the same time, offers the customer peace of mind."

Aaron Roach, business development manager at the company, said: "We've really placed an emphasis on the accreditations over the past six months and customer feedback has been positive."
