GBC lamination record attempt

Finishing equipment manufacturer GBC has announced that this year’s Drupa will herald a world record attempt.

The company will be launching its new laminator, the 8500HS Cyclone, single-sided commercial machine.

GBC said the new machine was designed for ultra high-speed professional finishing of book covers, dust jackets and packaging.

On 2 June 2008 from 11am at the show in Düsseldorf, an official representative of the Guinness Book of World Records will be present on GBC’s stand to establish the time it takes the Cyclone to laminate 100 square metres.

GBC will be exhibiting on stand D05 in Hall 7 at the show, which starts on 29 May.
