Morgana's Documaster launched in JDF-ready format

Finishing kit producer Morgana has announced that its Documaster bookletmaking and finishing machine is now available in a JDF-ready version.

The machine, which launched in 2005, creases sheets as part of the feeding and bookletmaking operation.

With the addition of the JDF-ready version, Documaster users will now be able to handle variable data material.

Morgana managing director Quen Baum said: "Many of our customers have been asking about JDF readiness, and with more variable-data documents being produced, this feature is now high on people's list of requirements for new equipment."

The Documaster uses a simple variable-data camera to read a fixed point on either cover or inside page.

It takes a maximum sheet size of 630x330mm and a maximum weight of 350gsm. Its programming facility allows nine repeat jobs to be stored and instantly retrieved.
