Chapel Press buys new Heidelberg model to reduce print times

Chapel Press aims to cut its print time in half after becoming an early adopter of Heidelberg's Speedmaster XL 75.

The Cheshire-based company, which specialises in producing work for training, design and advertising companies, expects to have its machine installed by mid-June.

The 18,000sph machine, which gets its official launch at Drupa 2008, is part of a £1.25m investment in new equipment.

Chapel Press took the 10-colour perfecting press option, allowing it to print both sides of the sheet at the same time.

Chapel sales director Paul Halfpenny said: "The technology in this machine will revolutionise print media as we know it.

"The quality, versatility and speed will allow us to print a job in almost half the time and at a consistently higher quality."
