‘Best ever’ quarter for TPF after £85m wins

TPF Group has landed over £85m worth of new business since the start of the year, in what chief executive Steve Brundle has described as the company’s “best ever” quarter.

TPF revealed that it had signed up eight new clients since January, all on contracts of between three and five years. The total value across all eight contracts exceeds £85m, with the average annual contribution estimated at more than £20m.

Brundle said: “The first quarter of 2008 was, by some margin, our best ever for new print management contracts and is the result of a superb all-round team effort.

“These figures are hard to square with recent speculation from some quarters about the likely decline of print management in the UK.

“Basically, if you offer clients the right proposition, backed up by exceptional service, the appetite for print management out there is stronger than it’s ever been.”

TPF was unable to reveal the names of the majority of its new clients, due to commercial confidentiality agreements.

However, the Northamp-ton-based firm confirmed that its most recent win was a three-year deal with the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the governing body for
the game in England, with a membership of around 2,000 clubs.

The deal, which is due to commence on 18 May, will result in the RFU outsourcing its print for the very first time. The main initial focus will be on the RFU’s broad suite of marketing materials and its corporate stationery.
