TPF shrugs off RBS loss with new financial services scoop

TPF Group has responded in typically bullish fashion to the loss of around £6m of work, with the announcement of a new deal worth more than “twice” that amount.

TPF revealed the win after it emerged that the firm was one of eight existing suppliers to have lost out in a recent review of Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) print roster.

RBS invited both existing suppliers and external firms to tender at the start of the year, before conducting an e-auction at Easter, in which around 40 companies are thought to have participated. Ten firms are believed to have been selected for the new roster.

Group chief executive Steve Brundle said: “Isn’t it funny how these things work out. Just this week, we received confirmation that we’ve won the launch of a major new financial services business in the autumn, and this will be worth more than twice what we’ve been doing for RBS annually.”

TPF Group is thought to have produced around £6m worth of print per year for RBS, from its Northampton facility, putting its new contract at around £12m.

RBS was unavailable for comment as PrintWeek went to press.
