Firstan creates repro and artwork group
Cambridge-based packaging firm Firstan has invested £175,000 in the launch of an internal artwork and reprographics division, Pak-Art.
Firstan, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, expects to shorten turnaround times following Pak-Art's launch last week.
Firstan production director Paul Hartwig said: "With our latest investment, along with our existing production facilities, we can offer time savings in the generation and approval process, while ensuring full data integrity."
Software packages Adobe Creative Suite, Esko Back-stage, Deskpack and Plato, and an Agfa Apogee RIP were all included in the £175,000 spend and were chosen to complement the firm's Agfa CTP and CAD departments.
