On Demand Communica-tions (ODC), owner of the Prontaprint and Kall Kwik print franchise businesses, has bought the largest franchise centre in the 560-strong global Kall Kwik network, Kall Kwik Middlesbrough.

Piers Mitchell, vendor and managing director of Kall Kwik Middlesbrough, said that selling the business to ODC would provide an opportunity to crystalise the value of the business, as well as ensuring the backing of a shareholder capable of further investment.

Kealan Lennon, chief executive of ODC, added: In our acquisition of Kall Kwik Middlesbrough we’re backing a highly experienced management team.

ODC said that all 45 staff at the high street print shop would be kept on following the deal.

Mitchell will continue to be responsible for the management of Kall Kwik Middlesbrough and will also assist ODC in its future acquisition strategy for the Kall Kwik and Prontaprint networks.
