John E Wright expands architectural offering with Service Point acquisition
By Tim Sheahan Wednesday, 08 February 2012
John E Wright has acquired the Nottingham branch of Service Point, a move that will broaden its architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) offering in the region.
The digital printer and supplier, which has nine facilities across the UK, has merged the Service Point operation into one of its Nottingham facilities, taking on the company's five staff in the process.
In addition to taking on the company's HP and Océ equipment, the acquisition will boost the turnover of John E Wright's CAD Nottingham site by £300,000 to £1.5m.
Service Point will continue to trade under its name and according to Tony Barnett, managing director of John E Wright, it will be "business as usual" for customers.
"We want this to be a seamless transition and a positive one. Service Point's customers now have a broader range of services, and a partner with a wider national reach to benefit from," he said.
According to Barnett, the tie-up gives Service Point a stronghold that will benefit from John E Wright's presence in the Nottingham and Derby region.
He added: "This is a great opportunity to improve our service levels to the AEC market in the East Midlands. John E Wright has substantial investment in printing equipment to add to the traditional document printing, management and archiving services already offered by Service Point."
John O’Regan, regional business director for Service Point, said he was "confident" that John E Wright was as a valued document partner moving forward.
